Training and Experience

Bina specializes in treating anxiety, depression and other mental health issues for individuals and families. Her approach is client centred and holistic utilizing various therapeutic methods including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, in addition to emotion focused and spiritually oriented methods.

Bina believes it is important to include all aspects of the Self – mental, emotional, somatic and spiritual within the therapeutic experience. This integrative approach allows her clients to find a deeper understanding of themselves and the issues they bring, in addition to greater access to their own psychological resources and healing potential.

Bina has a special interest in understanding the mental health impacts of various life stages on a person’s psychology. She explores with her clients the unmet needs of childhood and adolescent stages and leads them into the realization of their own authenticity. This passion for self-realization, growth, and mature adulthood stems from her many years working with children as an Early Childhood Educator.

Bina is an Indo-Caribbean woman who was born and raised in the city of Toronto. She is sensitive to the issues of diversity and attuned to supporting people from a range of social and ethnic backgrounds. As a goal orientated therapist, she is committed to helping her clients on the pathway of their “best possible selves.”

Be proactive against your mental health, not reactive.
