ACCEPTING IN-PERSON & ONLINE CLIENTS
I work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma and life transitions. I see individuals, couples and families facing breakdowns in communication and conflict. In individual therapy, we can explore the deep and often painful emotions that get in the way of feeling accepted, understood, and truly engaged in one’s life and relationships, including exploring low self-esteem, self-criticism, and perfectionism. Couples therapy allows exploration of the negative cycle disrupting the relationship, leading to improved connection and communication. Family work helps reconnect the ruptured bond between caregivers and their loved ones.
Working with clients’ intersecting identities and diverse life experiences, I help people explore their relationship with themselves and those important to them. My approach to psychotherapy is integrative and evidence-informed, drawn primarily from Emotion Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-based Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy and Attachment-Based Therapy.
I have a Master’s in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Yorkville University and have continued to build my skills with ongoing training under experts in the field. I previously graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology from India. I have also completed a Diploma in Addiction and Mental Health from Durham College and Diploma in Health Care Administration from St. Lawrence College.
I know how challenging finding support in times of stress can be, and I look forward to connecting with you to help you start your journey to greater mental well-being.
