Training & Experience
Yana Yagudin is a Registered Social Worker, with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Yana received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto, and her undergraduate degree in Psychology from York University. Yana’s experience includes providing assessment and treatment in mental health agencies and day treatment programs.
Yana is empathic in her approach to client care and utilizes an integrative, trauma-informed approach to support a variety of mental health struggles including: anxiety, grief, low self-esteem and interpersonal difficulties. Yana incorporates Cognitive Behavioural, Attachment and Solution Focused therapies to support clients in achieving their goals; by exploring core beliefs, challenging negative thoughts and developing coping skills. Yana also focuses on supporting clients in uncovering their own resiliencies through collaboration, acceptance and authenticity.
Having worked with both adult and adolescent populations, Yana understands the unique challenges which may be encountered within personal, familial and professional relationships; and has supported many clients in working through trauma, life transitions, family conflict and relational issues. Yana is committed to providing a safe, supportive and non-judgmental therapeutic environment, to help empower clients in making meaningful change.
