Anne-Marie Christensen — Newmarket Therapy Centre EastClinical Approach
Anne-Marie's approach to therapy is holistic and strength-based — addressing the psychological, physical, and social needs of each unique client. Using an integrative framework that combines Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Humanistic Existential Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and the Gottman Couples Method, she works with clients to explore the barriers and unhelpful thought patterns that are preventing them from living the life they desire. Through identifying and building on existing strengths, Anne-Marie empowers clients to work meaningfully toward their personal goals.
In couples work specifically, Anne-Marie's clinical focus is on repairing and deepening the relationship — helping partners rebuild trust, resolve conflict in healthy ways, and develop a deeper emotional connection and shared sense of meaning together.
