About Chris

Chris Cadaret is a Registered Psychotherapist at Newmarket Therapy Centre, holding a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. He works from the foundational belief that people carry within them significant insights — and that with intentional guidance and collaborative exploration, those insights can become the engine of real, lasting personal growth.

Chris works with adults, teens, and adolescents navigating a wide range of challenges — including anxiety, depression, trauma, addictions, borderline personality disorder, autism spectrum disorder, OCD, anger management, grief, and self-image. He is committed to creating an inclusive, affirming space and has particular experience working with the LGBTQ2S+ community.

Before entering private practice, Chris developed his clinical skills across a variety of settings — including as a support worker for individuals with ASD and as an addictions counsellor at an in-patient treatment centre. This breadth of experience informs his adaptable, deeply human approach to therapy.

I work under the assumption that you already hold the insights you need. My role is to help you find them — through honest exploration, genuine collaboration, and a commitment to meeting you exactly where you are.
