About Jodie

Jodie Cara Lindley is a co-founder of Newmarket Therapy Centre and a trauma-based bodyworker with over 20 years of foundational experience as a Registered Massage Therapist and more than 15 years in energy healing. Her practice has evolved substantially over the years, shifting from traditional massage toward a highly specialised focus on nervous system regulation, developmental trauma, and somatic healing at the deepest physiological and energetic levels.

Jodie works in collaboration with Newmarket Therapy Centre as an independent practitioner through her own business entity — Soma Essence Healing. Her sessions are integrated by nature: she no longer offers traditional Swedish massage, but instead combines modalities in response to each client's specific presenting symptoms, history, and goals. Change is typically noticeable after four sessions on a weekly basis — reflecting Jodie's commitment to meaningful, sustained healing rather than short-term relief.

Clinical Approach

Jodie's sessions integrate modalities focused on nervous system regulation and reorganisation, discharging traumatic stress, releasing muscle and fascial tension and bracing, restoring primitive reflexes, clearing energy blockages, and restoring the auric field. She holds a holistic philosophy of healing that represents a genuine integration of mind, body, and spirit — and her work with clients is guided by three questions: What do you want to see happen? What would you want to be different after each session? What is important to you?

In addition to her core practice, Jodie has experience working with individuals pre- and post-psychedelic and plant medicine experiences, recognising that bodywork can significantly enhance the integration process. She works primarily with clients aged 12 and up.
