Training & Experience
Eva completed her Masters of Social Work from the University of Waterloo with a health focus. Eva has training in auricular acupuncture and attained her acudetox specialist. She is registered social worker with over 18 years of clinical expertise in the field of mental health with a trauma focus.
She has extensive experience working collaboratively with individuals, families and groups, and continuously strives to ensure excellence in people centered care. She provides evidence based, collaborative care through implementation of best practice therapies and approaches such as CBT, DBT, narrative, strength based, and attachment-based approaches. Through her work at counselling agencies, and her training in auricular acupuncture, she has had the privilege of supporting groups, families and individuals with anxiety, depression, mood and personality disorders, self harm, relational challenges, communication, boundaries, anger and stress management, grief and loss, and professional and life transitions.
Eva believes that marrying formalized therapies with mindfulness-based approaches and self compassion amplifies the likelihood of developing tools and strategies and using those as a vehicle to begin healing the mind, body and soul.Navigating life’s challenges, whether past childhood experiences and present life stressors, can affect the emotional, physical and psychological well being and everyday functioning. Having a non judgemental, compassionate safe space to unpack your experiences and explore emotions on your own terms will aid in facilitating healing.
