Training & Experience

Tsilia Dinaburgsky, MSW, RSW, is a registered social worker and psychotherapist with a strong foundation in cognitive science and clinical social work. With over a decade of experience, she specializes in working with children who have developmental delays, ADHD, anxiety, autism, learning disabilities, as well as complex behavioral and emotional challenges.

Tsilia uses an integrative, neurodevelopmental approach that combines evidence-based therapies with play-based interventions tailored to each unique individual. Drawing from her deep understanding of neuroplasticity and developmental science, she helps clients increase self-regulation, social-cognitive development, social communication skills, and resilience, especially in cases considered high-needs or difficult to reach. Tsilia knows that the right support, meaningful change is truly possible. She is passionate about helping families who have “tried everything” rediscover hope through creative, relationship-centered therapy that works.

Tsilia also provides support to parents and caregivers, working together to build lasting skills through a unique approach rooted in science, creativity, and determination. Her mission is to meet each client where they are, build genuine connection, and create pathways for lasting growth and empowerment.

Therapeutic Approach and Philosophy
Tsilia’s approach is solution focused and includes various evidence-based therapies determined by the clients needs. Tsilia believes that the human brain has the incredible ability to adapt and change through neuroplasticity despite challenges or early setbacks. Individuals have the potential to learn, heal, and grow in meaningful ways. She believes that each client is unique, and tailors interventions based on the strengths, interests, needs, and developmental profile of each individual. Whether working with children, youth, or families, she offers a warm, collaborative space that encourages resilience and meaningful change, ensuring that clients feel safe and receive the comprehensive support they need to succeed.

Personal Journey
Tsilia’s work is shaped by her curiosity about neuroplasticity, cognition, and development. This led her to pursue an honours degree in cognitive science, where she explored the power of the brain and the diverse ways in which individuals learn, process information, and adapt to their environments. Combining this knowledge with her experience working with neurodiverse children inspired her to pursue social work as a path to deepen her impact and share her knowledge. Tsilia is committed in promoting inclusion and accessibility in mental health. She has worked in home, community, school-based, clinical and residential settings, offering both individual as well as group therapeutic and educational support to children, teens, and families.
