Therapy that
meets you where
you are.
Aurora Village Therapy & Wellness Centre provides individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and trauma therapy in Aurora, Ontario — alongside somatic therapy, wellness services, and group programs. Our registered Aurora therapists are Master’s-level Psychotherapists and Social Workers, available in-person at 15017 Yonge Street, Suite 200, and online across Ontario.
Something brought you here today. Maybe it’s anxiety that won’t quiet down. The weight of trauma you’ve been carrying too long. Struggles in your relationship or family that need more than good intentions. Or simply knowing you deserve to feel more like yourself again.
That instinct is worth listening to. At Aurora Village, we help people in Aurora and across York Region find real relief — not just from symptoms, but from the deeper patterns keeping them stuck.
You'll find us at 15017 Yonge Street, Suite 200, inside the Aurora Medical Centre at Yonge & Kennedy. Our team offers individual, couples, family, and trauma therapy — alongside somatic practice and wellness groups. Every clinician here is a Master's-level Registered Psychotherapist or Social Worker. Because lasting change happens when the mind, heart, and body heal together.

Individual
Therapy
The foundation of our practice. One-on-one therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, grief, self-worth, and the patterns that keep you stuck. Susan personally matches you with the right therapist before your first session — so the fit is right from the beginning.
Couples & Family
For partners who want to find each other again. For families learning to listen across long-held wounds. Our relational work meets you where contact has been lost — and helps you rebuild it together.
Trauma & EMDR
Trauma lives in the body and the nervous system — not just in memory. Our trauma work weaves EMDR, somatic practice, and nervous system regulation for the long imprints difficult experiences leave behind.
Anxiety & Depression
The two reasons most people first reach out. Evidence-based therapies — CBT, DBT, and emotion-focused work — paired with the relational depth that helps change actually hold over time.
Relationships & Self
The attachment patterns you formed early. The boundaries you're still learning to hold. The identity questions life keeps asking. This is the longer, deeper work of becoming who you are.
“Between you and the person you love, there is a field. Our work is tending to it — together.”
Real healing happens
in contact.
Relationships are living things. They hold our deepest longings for closeness — and the places we’ve been wounded in the reaching for it.
Our couples work begins with a different question than most therapy asks. Not “what is wrong with this relationship?” — but “what is trying to happen between you, and what is getting in the way?”
We work in the moment, with what is alive between you in the room. When those attachment wounds are met with care — in real time, in each other’s presence — something begins to soften. Contact becomes possible again.
This is the work of building something both people can trust — a relationship where both of you can be fully seen, and still chosen.
Trauma lives in the nervous system — that’s where we go to heal it.
A comprehensive, multi-modal program for adults carrying the weight of unprocessed trauma — PTSD, complex trauma, childhood wounds, attachment injuries, and nervous system dysregulation.
Most people come to trauma therapy after they’ve already tried talk therapy and found it didn’t reach deep enough. That’s not your fault — and it’s not a failure of therapy. Trauma is stored in the body and the nervous system, not just in the thinking mind.
Our trauma healing program is a staged, integrative approach. We begin by carefully assessing what needs to be processed, build your capacity to stay present with difficult material, then move into the deeper nervous-system and attachment work that creates lasting change.
A careful look at the traumatic memories, patterns, and triggers that need processing.
Tools for safety first. Grounding, resourcing, and nervous-system regulation practices.
Working directly with the body to release the physiological charge of trauma.
A gentle, evidence-based approach that helps the brain shift out of chronic stuck states.
One of the most researched trauma treatments, used to reprocess specific memories at the root.
Ear-based acupuncture that calms the vagal nervous system — gentle and deeply regulating.
Healing the wounds beneath the symptoms, where early relational injury lives.
Meeting the protective and wounded parts of you with compassion and bringing them into integration.
A full-day immersive session combining multiple modalities to do in one day what typically takes months of weekly therapy. Limited availability.
“Trauma is not what happens to you. Trauma is what happens inside you, as a result of what happens to you.”
— Dr. Gabor MatéPrograms & workshops
coming this season.
Our experiential programs run throughout the year — held in our Aurora group space. Register early, as space is limited for each offering.
May Breathwork Healing Session
A merging of two powerful modalities to process stress, trapped energy, and emotions in your body.
We begin with active Conscious Connected Breathwork (Circular Breathing) then transition into a grounding integration period — a deeply restorative, body-based experience. No previous experience necessary.
The Sunday Slowdown
A nervous system and somatic-based group to ground, recharge, and restore your connection to well-being.
A monthly in-person group session in guided meditation format. The focus is always on reconnecting to our body-soul and grounding our nervous system. A wonderful preparation for the week ahead.
The Men’s Workshop
Four archetypes. One deeper question: what kind of man do you want to become?
A workshop for men ready to do real inner work. Grounded in the four archetypes of mature masculinity — the King, the Warrior, the Magician, and the Lover. Hands-on, experiential work in circle with other men.
The Couples Intensive Weekend
Three months of weekly therapy — compressed into two transformative days, held in the same room.
A small-cohort immersive for couples alternating between guided work with your own partner and shared circle practices. This is the work of re-establishing real contact: being fully seen by your partner, and choosing each other again from there.
A space designed
for healing.
Our Aurora therapy suite inside the Aurora Medical Centre at 15017 Yonge Street, Suite 200 has been thoughtfully designed to feel warm, calm, and welcoming — with private therapy rooms, a dedicated bodywork space, and a group and workshop studio.

Many of the people who walk through our doors arrive feeling exactly the way you might be feeling right now — uncertain, tired, quietly hopeful.
That quiet hope is worth listening to. Healing is not a straight line, but it is real — and we have walked beside hundreds of clients on this journey. We would be honoured to walk beside you, too.
